Proposals to amend the Building (Fees) (Scotland) Regulations 2004
This consultation seeks responses on proposals to amend the fees for work requiring a building warrant. These are to encourage buildings with a higher energy performance than that required by building regulations. Encouraging low carbon buildings will reduce the carbon dioxide emissions that occur as a result of the energy used in heating and cooling new buildings. They also address minor issues relating to the discounts and refunds of the warrant fee when a certificate from an Approved Certifier is provided.
