A REVIEW OF STANDARDS AND GUIDANCE IN THE TECHNICAL HANDBOOKS ON SECTION 2: FIRE
The Scottish Ministers are presently considering proposals for amending the regulations under the Building (Scotland) Regulations 2004 and the guidance provided in the Technical Handbooks, giving guidance on ways to comply with the Building Regulations. The purpose of this consultation is to seek comments on proposed amendments to Section 2: Fire. The main focus of the proposals is: to improve life safety of people in and around buildings following the outbreak of fire, encourage innovative design and construction of buildings, promote inclusive design, and to improve assistance to the fire and rescue services.
