European Directives
Introduction
The Construction Products Directive (CPD(89/106/EEC)) has been implemented in the UK through the Construction Products Regulations in 1991. The CPD aims to remove barriers to trade in Member States in the European Economic Area.

AMENDMENT.
The Construction Products Directive (Council Directive 89/106/CE) has been amended by Council Directive 93/68/EEC of 22 July 1993, which replaced the term EC marking with the current CE marking.
