LATEST NEWS:
A delay affecting the legislative changes needed in respect to reserved matters has caused the timetable to move back to the end of 2008. It is anticipated that Crown immunity will remain until at least 1 November 2008.

The SBS is working towards implementing a system for Crown buildings using the network of 32 verifiers, covering their own areas and using the same procedures and fee scale for all building warrant applications.

The SBS has issued newsletters, covering the introduction of the verification service. Further newsletters will be issued as the work to remove Crown Immunity progresses.
